KARA vs. DSP Media

A rumor about a dispute between members of KARA namely Seungyeon, Jiyoung and Nicole versus DSP Media circulated.  The controversy was about their contract with DSP Media.  They filed a lawsuit about their contract with the said media company.  Although the lawsuit was filed their five member group continues to perform as a group.

A statement was issued from the Seoul Central District Court saying that DSP Media received a notice from a fashion company.  The notice which dated June 24 mentioned that the company felt that their image was misrepresented by the members of KARA.  KARA was the spokesperson of the said fashion company.  They wanted to seek damages in relation to their allegations.  The company mentioned in their statement saying, “The media has been reporting the incident where KARA’s members, due to issues relating to income allocation for the members, did not get along and wanted to disband. This incident has damaged our company’s label and image. DSP Media should pay us $445 million won (approximately $409,000 USD) in damages.”

The fashion company and DSP made a commercial contract for the K-pop group KARA.  The contract was terminated due to the incident.

KARA Invade the Streets of Japan

The K-pop group KARA is busy promoting their summer album entitled “Go,Go Summer” in Japan.  The girls are working hard to share the talents to their fans not only in Korea but also to other Asian countries.  They are taking over Japan which give them a good popularity ratings.

They were spotted on the streets of Japan wearing nautical inspired outfits.  A Japanese community forum featured their pictures wearing the marine outfit. The photos were taken from their scenes while filming for a program.  They were at Japan’s Disneyland wearing blue striped outfits.  The nautical inspired outfit fits the summer weather.  And it is one of the hottest trends to date.

Netizens saw their pictures and were ecstatic to see their beloved K-pop group doing so well in other countries.  They will busy promoting their 4th single entitled “Go, Go Summer”.

KARA’s Kang Ji Young

Kang Ji Young is on the pages of Elle Girl Korea for its July 2011 issue.  Kang Ji Young wore brands like Adidas, Linda Farrow and Fleamadonna.  She graced the cover with a young, feminine and playful look.  She had a natural look which highlighted her young face making her look more radiant and flawless.

Kang Ji Young shared that she had been nervous during her photo shoot.  But she was able to overcome as the photo shoot progressed.
