Interview Jully Kang from Frenzii

AsianFashion.com had the privilege of interviewing Jully Kang from Frenzii.com fashion. The Frenzii line of young contemporary women’s clothing epitomizes effortless style, specializing in pieces that always create a well-put-together look.

Where are you from?
I was born in Seoul, Korea and immigrated to the U.S. at 4 yrs old.

How did you become a designer?
My father was a patternmaker/seamstress in Korea for many years and eventually came to America where he was sponsored from a big manufacturing company.

What is your inspiration for designing?
My inspiration is all about California living & it’s lifestyle…the sun, the beach, and the casual way of living.  With its loose, flowy, yet feminine designs to make the women wear w/ confidence.

What do you want to tell the world about your line?
The Frenzii line is something that has been in the making for more than 15plus years.  This line is truly everything that I have learned in the fashion industry..what women feel good about wearing, the comfort of the fabric, it’s designs, the colors, the fit, and most importantly the overall look.

Where do you sell?
Big drop, anthro, south moon, bloomingdale, fred segal, hemline, huebner, cupcake clothing, pea in the pod,

Any advice for people starting out?
Gain as much experience in the fashion world because that is what will make you money and where you would save from other people’s experiences.

Final words or wisdom.
The fashion industry is a highstress business and you really need thick skin to outstand it but once your in it there is no going back.  The love and passion for the industry is what will make you succeed!
