The Fashion Week is celebrated event not only for popular designers like Alexander Wang and the likes but also for budding local designers. Â The Seoul Fashion Week played a major role in introducing the latest collection of Korean designers.
The Generation X is the place where budding designers show off their designs. Â Designers with 3-10 years of experience took part in the event. Â Among them are Steve J & Yoni P which are popular in London. Â Johnny Hates Jazz and Jardin de Chouette also showed their collection which are popular in Korea. Â This government of Korea showed their support for homegrown designers by giving them exposure to the international fashion scene. Â A selection of the best Korean designers are chosen to represent at some prestigious shows in Paris and other countries.

Johnny Hates Jazz
The man behind the brand is Choi Ji Hyung. Â He was an assistant designer to Vivienne Westwood before he launched his men’s wear collection in 2007. Â Spotted: Girls Generation
His collection includes soft fabrics that plays with the silhouettes, color block and geometric prints.
Steve J & Yoni P
The couple Steve Jung and Yoni Pai are fashion designers who met and fell in love while attending Central St. Martin together. Â They are based in London and have connections with TopShop.
Their designs include animal inspired outfits and tailored dresses.
LEYII
Seunghee Lee is the woman behind this brand. Â She’s a Central St. Martin and FIT graduate who worked under Samsung’s fashion department. Â She has been to fashion shows in Paris, London and Seoul.
Her design includes constructive tailoring, draping and layering.
ALANI
Kim Jae Hwan is the man behind this brand. Â He has worked under Paul Smith and did a campaign for FENDI. Â He was also a costume tailor and assistant for the movie Harry Potter. His look is more on the monochromatic style. Â He plays with fabrics sand structures.
