The 26th Golden Disk Awards debuted yesterday January 11 at the Osaka Kyocera Dome in Japan. The awards show was flocked with international celebrities who have flown from different parts of Asia. Popular artists walked the red carpet where photographers and fans waited.
The Golden Disk Awards will be held for two days. The first day will be featuring physical album achievements while on the second day digital music achievements will be given.
Among the stars who grace the event were Super Junior, KARA, CNBLUE, MBLAQ, f(x), Dal Shabet, Jay Park, BEAST, B1A4, A Pink, Rainbow and Infinite. The categories for the 26th Annual Golden Disk Awards include Best Album of the Year (based on album sales figures), Top Albums of the Year, Best Rookies, Most Popular Artist, Popularity Award and Hallyu Icons.
The Kpop group Super Junior dominated the 26th Annual Golden Disk Awards. They garnered 4 awards including the Disk Daesung award. BEAST and Infinite also won two awards.
Performances from Kpop stars was also featured on the two-day event. Among the performers were B1A4, CNBLUE, BEAST, A Pink, KARA, MBLAQ, Rainbow, Infinite, f(x), Rainbow, Jay Park and Super Junior. Before their all star concert the Kpop stars greeted their fans at the red carpet.
